Wylie Preparatory Academy is a college-preparatory school that partners with families to provide a Christian-based academic and social experience, developing servant leaders with strong Christian character and the skills needed to answer God’s call.
Wylie Preparatory Academy is a non-denominational, Christian University-Model School serving grades Pre-K – 12. Students attend on-campus classes three days a week and complete their assignments at home/satellite classroom under their parents’/co-teachers’ supervision. The Spiritual Objective of Wylie Preparatory Academy is to provide its students, parents, and staff with a Christian environment that is conducive to the Christian growth and maturity of each. Employees and parents must be in agreement with the school’s statement of faith and with its position as a non-denominational school. Wylie Preparatory Academy is SACS accredited http://www.sacs.org/ and NAUMS certified http://umsi.org/.
Qualifications we look for in a prospective employee:
- Born-again believers and active members of a local Christian church
- Have a love for children
- Self-motivated, interact easily with others, and communicate well
Additional Instructor and Coach Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic about learning and teaching
- Have enthusiasm for their subject area
- Are willing to partner with parents in the education of their children
Core subject teachers must have a college degree, preferably in their subject area. We prefer to hire certified teachers, however, we do consider individuals who meet our other qualifications.
