The purpose of the Academic Program at Wylie Preparatory Academy is to fulfill the school’s mission by providing quality, biblically-integrated instruction in every course and grade level; developing God-honoring relationships among our students, co-teachers, teachers, and staff members; providing on-going professional development for classroom teachers; supporting and training our partners in their co-teaching responsibilities; and providing academic opportunities for students to develop and refine their God-given abilities.
Wylie Preparatory Academy is a University-Model® school, a true partnership between parents and school. The primary responsibility for a child’s education belongs to his/her parents, and Wylie Prep is privileged to work alongside families to meet our common goal of providing excellence in education while developing Christian character. Students in PreK – 12th grade receive instruction on campus from professional teachers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They study at home under the guidance of their parents on Tuesday and Thursday. Extra-curricular opportunities are offered throughout the week. This schedule allows families time to learn and work together, as well as provides students the opportunity to develop time management and independent study skills.
