Development

Development
Wylie Preparatory Academy relies on the generous, tax-deductible gifts of those who share our vision. Your generous gifts insure that we can continue developing Christian character through excellence in education.

Wylie Prep is a University Model School® which provides an alternative to a traditional public or private school option. We are an independent Christian school without formal affiliation to a local church or denomination. As such, we do not have a tax or tithe base to rely on for the revenue needed to sustain and develop our programs.

You can support our ministry through cash gifts, pledges, stock transfers, in-kind donations and bequests. Every gift received is an investment that will be passed down from generation to generation.
For more information on participating in supporting the mission and vision of Wylie Preparatory Academy please contact Kristi Rose, Development Director.

Support

There are many ways to support Wylie Preparatory Academy.

First, we ask that you pray for our school staff, teachers, students, volunteers, and board members.

Additionally, the following opportunities are ways that you can fiscally support our efforts:

Matching funds thru employer
Many large corporations provide matching funds for donations to charitable organizations. Ask your Human Resource Department if your company offers this benefit. We would be glad to process the necessary paperwork on your behalf.

Shopping Cart Fundraising aka "Scrip"
Purchase gift cards for your favorite retail stores through Wylie Prep. This is called scrip. It means substitute money. When you purchase scrip, youre purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for Wylie Prep.

The Great Lakes Scrip Center® acts on behalf of Wylie Preparatory Academy to purchase scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. We buy the scrip at a discount, and re-sell the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more is Wylie Preps revenue.

Scrip is "shopping cart fundraising". Scrip is a popular fundraiser because you dont have to sell anything or make purchases outside of your normal spending needs/habits. You produce revenue for Wylie Prep by making regular household purchases you would make anyway with a prepurchased gift card through the scrip program. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.

Instructions on how you can sign up online and buy scrip today is detailed below. A full list of the thousands of retailers is available online. Lets put our shopping dollars to work for Wylie Prep!

Orders will be placed every Monday at 11:00 am if there is a demand that week.
